By adopting a reptile from HoP you know what you're getting in terms of personality, diet, and temperament - purchasing from a pet store or breeder is a gamble. We screen adopters to be sure they are matched with the best scaly baby FOR THEM. And we're here to provide life-long support for adoptive families!
We are accepting surrenders including bearded dragons, geckos, chameleons, skinks, monitors, uromastyx, tortoises, tegus, and other small and medium lizards. SORRY NO AQUATIC TURTLES OR AXOLOTLS!

" I recently had the pleasure of interacting with the House of Pancakes Reptile Rescue, and I must say, they have been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Whenever I've had questions regarding my own reptiles, whether it be about their health, habits, or general care, they have always been quick to respond and provide insightful guidance. Despite living on the other side of the country, their willingness to assist and genuine care for reptiles shine through. I highly recommend the House of Pancakes Reptile Rescue to anyone in need of reptile-related assistance or looking to adopt a new scaly friend. Their dedication and expertise make them an invaluable resource for reptile enthusiasts everywhere. " -Chef Lenny & Sons
" This place is wonderful. The woman who runs it goes above and beyond for all the animals she cares for as well as assisting other reptile owners in education and care of their reptiles. I have received wonderful advice from her for my own reptile care as well as seen the transformation of so many reptiles in her care. " -Elizabeth
" I adopted a special needs, senior, bearded dragon from the House of Pancakes. Jamie at HoP saved this beardie's life. When she was surrendered to the rescue, she was severely emaciated and weak. In the rescue's care, she was taken to the vet and properly set on the road to recovery.
I live in Maryland but I drove to New York to get my beardie. I had been following her progress on Instagram and when she was available for adoption, Jamie made this easy for me. She also patiently answered my many questions.
She does great work for these reptiles. I highly recommend this rescue. " -Kimberly
" I adopted a four year old bearded dragon that house of pancakes received in awful condition. This caring loving organization gave him a second chance at life and now he is our little angel that we are so grateful to have as part of our family. I would highly recommend adopting an adult beardie instead and this is definitely an organization I would recommend to everyone! " -Maggie
