House of Pancakes Reptile Rescue Inc currently functions as a foster-based program in Dutchess County, NY. It is our goal to build a facility that will allow us to increase our capacity and be open to the public. This will give us the opportunity to host events, display merchandise, and offer a safe space for reptiles and their owners alike. Having a public space will enable us to utilize volunteers and grow our HoP family!
With your help we were able to purchase 8'x20' modular office trailer that is move-in ready! THANK YOU! We will purchase a standby generator to be used in the event of a power outage. The trailer is already equipped with electric baseboard heat and air conditioning. The trailer will need insulation added to the underside, as well as skirting to make it better prepared for winter.
First thing to tackle is new tires, as the existing ones are dry-rotted. The exterior will get a bath, windows & door resealed, and a fresh coat of paint!
On the back wall we plan to have a mural painted which will display the name of our ($50+) donors. We plan to build a "rainbow garden" and patio, which will be a beautiful space dedicated to those who have crossed the rainbow bridge.
